Wind + Storage | Solar + Storage | Microgrid

Arctic Research Foundation

The main purpose of the system was to provide off-grid power to 4 semi-mobile research stations located in the Arctic Circle, powered by solar PV, wind turbines, and backup diesel gen-set.

Canadian Energy was responsible for the design, procurement, and build of the microgrid power system including batteries, inverter, solar PV array, wind turbines, switchgear, and controls. CE consulted on the container design and fabrication. These systems have been deployed since 2015.
